Indian Chess School in association with Mumbai City District Chess Association and Chessbase India organized the ICS Rapid Chess Championship at the Cultural Centre of Russia for school children under 15.

Vansh Agarwal (1307) secured the first place after 7 rounds with 6.5 points. ACM Arvind Iyer can close second while CM Kush Bhagat was the second runner up.

The special feature of this event was a key-note address by the renowned author and Grandmaster, Jacob Aagard. He is a Danish born Scottish GM and the 2007 British Chess Champion. The grandmaster spoke to players on the 'Psychology & Methods of Chess Improvement' and conducted a special training session.
