Childhood obesity in India has reached pandemic proportions with expert raising concerns over serious health issues such as lack of Vitamin D, diabetes hypertension and cancer among children at younger age. Sedentary lifestyle and lack of physical exercise is blamed to be the main reason for the growing health issues. Juniorthon was designed specifically to ensure that children are encouraged to take up outdoor activities in a manner that combines physical and mental development while ensuring they enjoy the experience.

Inspired by Juniorthon a lot of parents have taken up active lifestyle for themselves and their children and are ensuring they spread awareness about the importance of physical exercise amongst children and their neighborhood.
