Delhi Daredevil batsman Shreyas Iyer is ruled out of initial matches of IPL - 2017 cause of chickenpox. Iyer is recovering at his house in Mumbai. Delhi Daredevils will miss their opener batsman against two important clashes which include Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rising Pune Supergiants.

This is a big blow for Delhi Daredevils as star proteas batsman J P Duminy and wicketkeeper batsman Quinton De Kock have been ruled out because of injuries. Shreyas Iyer has played two seasons of IPL representing Delhi Daredevils. He was the top run-getter in the year 2015 scoring 439 runs at an average of 33.76.
