On Sunday, Mumbaikars enjoyed not one but two power packed boating competitions which took place in Mumbai. Koli community took a off from their fishing activity and indulged themselves in their favorite water sports i.e. boating. This boating competition took place from Nariman Point to Girgaon chowpatty. Colaba Koliwada came first, Versova came second, and Haji Ali Koliwada came third in this competition. The first winner got 1,00,000 cash prize, second winner got Rs. 60,000 cash prize, and third winner got Rs. 40,000 cash prize.
“We were practicing for 5-6 days and so we could participate in the competition. But during the competition, we got nervous and so we came second but we enjoyed the competition a lot,” said winner of Versova Koliwada team.
“We had practiced and we got guidance as well. Usually, we go in water for fishing but this was different experience all together,” said winner of Colaba Koliwada team.
Another thrilling P1 powerboat racing competition took place at Nariman Point where international competitors had participated. Baleno Booster Jets came first who received 50,000 dollars cash prize and got a Virat trophy as well.
