Worli Sports Club's Faizan Ansari easily suppressed Bhaskar Kadam of Mumbai Port Trust by 25-0, 25-0. Ravi Jogadiya of Bori Sports Club defeated Govind Wadekar 25-7, 25-9 easily. Dinesh Kedar of Mumbai Municipal Corporation defeated Dharmendra Kumar 25-18, 25-11 in the third round.
Among the women, Jain Irrigation's Neelam Ghodke won against Indian Audience’s Madhuri Tayeshte by 25-4, 25-0. Preeti Khedekar reached the third round losing easily to Vaibhavi Shewale by 25-4, 25-8. Urmila Shendge of the Reserve Bank kept her hopes alive after winning 25-12, 25-20 against Janhvi More.
