Kenya and Ethiopian runners have always dominated the Mumbai’s Marathon, this year too Ethiopian’s Solomon Deksisa in men’s category and Amane Gobena in women’s category have the 15th Edition of TATA Mumbai Marathon. Salomon Daxisa has completed the full Marathon in 2 hours, 9 minutes, 34 seconds whereas Amena Gobeana accomplished the full marathon race in 2 hours 25 minutes 49 seconds.

In Indian runners, Gopi Thanakal's performance had taken a befitting look at him. Nitendra Singh Rawat had given a tough competition to Gopi. While running the final lap within the distance of 100km Gopi surpassed Nitendra Singh Rawat and won a full marathon by just three seconds. In women’s race, everyone in the audience was very much confident with Sudha Singh’s win.

In the half-marathon, Maharashtra's marathoners won the first three slots. Kolhapur based the man from the army sports institute Deepak Kumbhar bagged the third place. Among the women, Sanjivani Jadhav of Nashik bagged the first place and Monika Andrare captured the second place.

This year’s half marathon was truly conquered by the men’s of the Army Sports Institute. Pradip Singh of the institute registered the time 1:05:42 and stood first whereas, Shankar Mann Thapan recorded 1:06:40 in the second place and Deepak Kumbhar recorded a time of 1:06:54 and won the third position.

In the half-marathon women’s run, Sanjivani Jadhav recorded a time of 1:26:24 for the first place, Monika Athare completed the race in 1:27:15 for the second position and Juma Khatoon recorded the time of 1:27:48 at the third place.
