Tata Mumbai Marathon was recently bestowed with ‘gold level’ by the International Association of Athletics Federation and accordingly has become the only marathon throughout the country to receive the acknowledgment.
The marathon organiser Procam International on Saturday announced that the Mumbai-based marathon had received the status. The Mumbai Marathon is stated to be amongst the top 10 marathons throughout the world. The marathon is being organised on January 20, 2019, and has prizes of up to $4,05,000 and more than 46,000 participants will take part in the six-category marathon.
The gold level category is bestowed on any race over a particular set of regulations. Amongst which, World-class level field representation, different prizes for male and female runners and complete medical assistance are included.
