Mumbai- WhatsApp is generally meant for people who want to catch up with old buddies. Now, of course, the social network has become a platform for rumours as well. It would be dangerous to forward a Whatsapp message without checking its authenticity. On Friday, a rumoured pic of a fire in Mumbai was making feverish rounds in WhatsApp groups. The pic came with a message which stated that a fire had broken out in one of the posher buildings in Lower Parel. There was no fire in reality. The news still went viral.
