The much talked about reality show Bigg Boss 13 has finally come to an end. The show that started in September 2019 had its share of ups and down. Today at the mega finale episode it was revealed that Sidharth Shukla is the winner of Bigg Boss 13. Asim Riaz was announced as the runner-up of the reality show.

Just like the previous few years, even in this season, Bigg Boss was hosted by Salman Khan. It is a well-deserved victory for Sidharth Shukla. The top six contestants that were fighting for the trophy were:
Mahira Sharma was eliminated in the last week and hence could not be a part of the top six. The top 3 for the show were Sidharth, Asim and Shehnaaz and the final face-off was between Asim and Sidharth.
Since the show went on air, it has been the talk of the town. Each contest that was in the top six has a massive fan following. The desi Katrina Shehnaaz Gill is also being dubbed as a complete entertainment package. She will soon get a show of her own on Colors. There had been conversation regarding the same in the past too but now the promo is out as well.
A lot of websites had conducted audience poll to check in on who will lift the trophy for BIgg Boss. The results of most of these have been Sidharth Shukla. In one such poll, Asim Riaz has been a close second.
Sidharth has been seen as one of the strong contest to win the title right from the day go. There are many things that have gone in his favour such as his bond with fellow contestant Shehnaaz and his zeal to win every task, his I care a damn attitude. He has also been in the news for his hot-headedness and frequent tussles with the other contestants. Time and again it has been projected that even host Salman Khan is biased towards Siddharth but it now seems all this has worked in his favour only. Several former Bigg Boss contestants feel that Sidharth winning would set a bad precedent for the show. They feel often taken to Twitter to express that Siddharth is arrogant, has no respect for woman and often resorts to physical violence, which as per the rules is not allowed on the show.
Asim, on the other hand, has been an underdog of Bigg Boss. He has played remarkedly to make it to the finals. During the media interaction round, earlier this month, Mumbai Live had asked Asim on how he had said in the past that the show is biased and if he feels that the show is skewed towards one person or one group, then why does he continue to be associated with it and not leave the same? To which he replied, that he felt only one side of the story was being aired and his complete narrative was not being shown which is why he had used this but later admitted that he did make a mistake.
Shehnaz Kaur Gill and Paras Chhabra - will step into a new journey with Colors in a new show called 'Mujhse Shaadi Karoge'. This new show will be on-air, every day (on weekdays) from February 17, 2020, at 10:30 pm.
