Amidst the coronavirus outbreak, Ekta Kapoor's production house, Balaji Telefilms, has been facing a tough time. Last week, Parth Samthaan tested positive for COVID-19 and the shoot of the popular show, Kasautii Zindagi Kay was stopped. Besides that, on July 18, 2020, a fire broke out on the sets of her popular Zee TV show Kumkum Bhagya.

As per reports, the cast of the show - Shabbir Ahluwalia, Pooja Banerjee and Sriti Jha - was on the set, but thankfully weren't injured or hurt. However, the spokesperson said that Pooja was shaken by the incident. Talking about the same, the spokesperson reported, “The incident was horrific and she was very shaken but all’s well. She and the entire team managed to get out of it without a scar. Pooja took the day off to recuperate mentally.”

Sriti Jha also took to Instagram to share the message about her being safe. She said, “Aai ne meri nazar utari. Main bilkul safe hu (Mom warded off the evil eye. I am absolutely safe). We never speak much…mostly. I am at a loss of words with her…But she called me over for this. @aaiskitchenmumbai Kaha rakhu itna pyaar (where do I keep so much love).”

The shoot of all the television shows was brought to a halt as per directives by the government, due to the coronavirus outbreak. They resumed almost three months after the lockdown after the government gave them permission to begin under certain conditions.

The telecast of new episodes of Kumkum Bhagya started on July 13, along with other shows produced by Balaji Telefilms.
