Veteran actor and director Liladhar Kambli passed away in Mumbai after a prolonged illness. He was 83 and was battling cancer for the last two years. He breathed his last at 9 pm, on Thursday, July 2, 2020.

Kambli used to work at the Mumbai Port Trust and soon after taking up this job, he began working in the theatre industry. Some of his popular work includes Kachecha Chandra, Himalayachi Saavi, Kasturi Mrig, Ram Tujhi Sita Mauli, Lekure Udand Jhali, Prema Tuja Rang Kasa and many others.

He was known for enacting different roles and characters and has been a part of more than 30 plays. Some of his characters like Pednekar Mama from Vatrat Mele, Appa Master from Kela Tuka Ni Jhala Maka and Joshi Master in from Vastraharan were loved and appreciated.

Besides plays, he also contributed to many TV shows like Bhakri Aani Phool, Bay Dune Teen, Kathastu, Haswanuk, Comedy.com and many others.
