In a miracle of sorts, a newborn delivered by a Bengali woman inside the toilet of a moving train slipped through the pipe onto the tracks but survived unscathed at Railway station in Maharashtra.

Chandana Shah (26), on board Ratnagiri – Dadar passenger train, had labour pains while the train stopped at Kasu Railway station. The woman gave birth to a child in the toilet but the newborn accidentally slipped through the toilet pipe and fell on the tracks, police said. Passengers pulled the emergency chain bringing the train to a halt and the baby was rescued.
