Mumbai - The State Electricity Regulatory Commission has decided to cut down the BEST electcity rates by 7%. Henceforth, residents will have to pay Rs. 3 and 12 paise per unit instead of Rs. 4 and 13 paise. These rates will be applicable from this very month of October. This is considered as Diwali gift for customers who consume less than 100 units. However this step is likely to hamper BEST which is already reeling under financial crisis.
