Due to the technical snag, harbour railway and central railway got disrupted between Mankhurd and Chembur. Locals were running late by 15-20 minutes. Along with this, locals were also running late between Ghatkopar and Thane. Due to the sudden breakdown, rush increased on the station as the local broke down during peak hours.
“We are not surprised. Today overhead wire was burnt, on some other day, it is signal problem. There is not a single day when we don't face problems while commuting. And they only announce that they are sorry for the inconvenience,” said Vandana Gaikwad, Railway Pravasi Sanghatna, president.
