The Maharashtra State Transport Department has issued a statement providing permission to kaali-peelis and other taxis to pick up passengers from key stations like CSMT, Dadar, LTT, and so on.

This comes as the state announced 23 pairs of long-distance trains starting in a phased manner from June 1. Many of these trains will depart from CSMT, Dadar, Mumbai Central, Bandra Terminus, and LTT. Keeping this in mind, there is expected to be a heavy influx of passengers at all key stations.

An official from the RTO added that there will be a “point person” assigned for each station to make it easier for passengers to find their taxis. Additionally, passengers have the choice to book it on the spot or in advance via WhatsApp.
