Tejas Express flagged off from CST to Karmali on Monday. Suresh Prabhu, Union Railway Minister after the inaugural journey of Tejas announced good news for passengers travelling towards Ahmedabad.
Very soon Tejas Express will be running between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Earlier the Western Railway officials announced that the train will run between Mumbai -Surat, but now they will chalk out a path for Ahmedabad. As of now, Mumbai - Ahmedabad are connected via Shatabdi Express and double-decker trains.

The Shatabdi express runs at a maximum speed of 130kmph, Tejas has the maximum speed of 200kmph but it can't clock its maximum speed as the route has the speed limit of 130kmph.
