To reduce accidents on the Samruddhi Expressway, Mercedes-Benz has adopted the highway for the next three years. The initiative, taken by the company to prevent road accidents caused by ‘road hypnosis,’ has been praised by Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik.

After visiting the Mercedes-Benz plant in Chakan, Sarnaik said that the company will launch several activities to improve road safety. These include training the drivers, installing signboards in accident-prone areas, creating a network of nearby trauma centers for quick medical help, guiding drivers to avoid accidents

The Minister appreciated Mercedes-Benz for its valuable contribution to the state's road safety mission. He also discussed Maharashtra’s electric vehicle (EV) policy with the company’s delegation during the visit.

He wished the company continued success in the EV sector. Following this commendable step, it is hoped that accidents on the Samruddhi Expressway will decrease in the coming years.
