According to accounts, a senior management official mentioned that 6,000 staffers who reported for duty in November have been credited with their salaries as well as a hike of up to INR 11,000 in basic. In addition to this, they were also given a dearness allowance between 12-28 per cent and a house rent allowance.

Based on accounts, nearly 14,000 employees resumed operations after the threat of suspension, dismissal and appeal from the transport minister, Anil Parab. They too will attain their salaries along with hikes in the coming days but will receive deductions for the days they were on strike.

By Tuesday morning, 127 bus depots had begun operations from which nearly 1,000 buses were operated, mentioned an official. Adding that the number will further increase in the days ahead.
