To commemorate Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST)’s Foundation Day and 75 years of its municipalisation on August 7, the undertaking will launch a ‘parking-with-app’ facility through the Park+ app.
With this, motorists can get assured parking for their car or two-wheeler at any of BEST’s 27 bus depots across the city. However, initially, the scheme will be started at Colaba, Mumbai Central, Bandra, Worli and Dindoshi depots.
There will be two types of parking facilities -- self-parking and valet parking. Parking will be for both personal and commercial vehicles.
Earlier, a month ago, the transport body introduced one-of-its-kind valet parking services for private vehicles at its depots through an application. This is likely to solve parking issues faced by several commuters on a daily basis in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Park+App mobile app will help vehicle owners to ascertain about the availability of the parking spaces in BEST depots and bus stations all over Mumbai.
Charges for the same will be INR 100 for 2 hours, any vehicle with INR 30 for every additional hour.
The BEST has also made a provision of booking parking space in advance at the nominal extra charge of INR 5 to make it more convenient for the users. On the app, one can book a parking slot 24 hours in advance.
For this, you need to select depot, identify slot and block it for particular time of day. Later, select desired parking duration and pay digitally.
