Women should get a safe environment while traveling in railways. Vice President of the Legislative Council, Dr. Neelam Gore said that if preventive measures are taken to prevent untoward incidents, incidents of harassment of women will not happen. A meeting of concerned officers was organised on the topic 'Safety of women passengers in Railways' in the assembly hall of Vidhan Bhavan. The ladies compartment should have automatic sanitary napkin machines and changing rooms. Dr. Gore also directed that online monitoring of CCTVs should be done at railway stations and railway stations.


Principal Secretary, Home Department, Anup Kumar Singh was instructed to cooperate in early disposal of pending demands related to Railway Police. Along with this, the police and railway administration were directed to take preventive action against the inn criminals.
