Delayed local trains is a usual thing for commuters travelling on the Central Line. But, on Tuesday, it was more than a technical snag as it was the protest of railway job seekers that delayed the CR services for an indefinite period of time.

Around 7:00 am, the students took to railway tracks between Matunga and Dadar and protested for nearly four and half hours. People who were not aware of the protest were unable to reach their destination on time. While many returned back home, many were left stranded on the train.

However, in order to help stressed commuters, the BEST ran 14 special buses in Dadar, Matunga and other areas to help commuters to reach their destination.

OLA, Uber strike added fuel to the fire

It was indeed a bad day for commuters who thought of booking an OLA or Uber but the cab services are also on strike. Here, BEST came to the rescue which started running special buses 8:00 am onwards.
