Ganesh Nagar Social Development Group in association with Jogeshwari Sarvajanik Mandal has organised Ganpati Idol in Behram baug, Jogeshwari (west). Referring to the empowerment of women in our present society, the mandal's message for this year is 'Save Girl Child'. 'Stop female foeticide', requested workers from the Mandal, by putting up cut-outs of Rio Olympians P.V. Sindhu & Sakshi Malik. They also organised career counselling programme for students, blood donation camps, etc. Celebrating festival with a motive has become order of all the Ganesh Mandals across Mumbai.
