Amitabh Bachchan tests positive for COVID-19; admitted at Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital

As per reports, Amitabh Bachchan was rushed to Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital, on July 11, after he tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). This piece of news regarding his health has raised concerns and fans are praying for his recovery.

Veteran Bollywood actor, Amitabh Bachchan, was admitted at Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital, on Saturday, July 11, after he tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). He took to Twitter to share the news regarding his health. He wrote, "I have tested CoviD positive ..  shifted to Hospital  .. hospital informing  authorities .. family and staff undergone tests, results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!"

Senior Bachchan will soon be seen as the host of the popular chat show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. The 12th season of the show will be telecast on Sony TV, and the previous season ended in May 2020. 

Besides this, he was recently seen alongside Ayushmann Khurrana in Shoojit Sircar’s film Gulabo Sitabo, which released on Amazon Prime Video. His role was appreciated by critics and fans. On the film front, Amitabh Bachchan's forthcoming releases include Nagraj Manjule's Jhund, Chehre alongside Emraan Hashmi, and Dharma Productions'  Brahmastra by Ayan Mukherjee.

Meanwhile, On Saturday, July 11, Bollywood actress Rekha's bungalow was also sealed by the BMC after one of her security guards tested positive for coronavirus.
