Padmaavat Row: Karni Sena gheraoed outside CBFC office demanding a ban on the movie
Security personnel were deployed outside the office of Central Board of Film Certification on Friday after Karni Sena threatened to stage a protest against clearance given to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial venture Padmaavat
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Padmaavat’ (formerly known as 'Padmavati) is once again facing the protest from Karni Sena who is hell-bent on not allowing the film to release. In their latest stint, members of Karni Sena on Friday gheraoed the CBFC office asking for a ban.
Despite police security around the CBFC office, protestors started shouting slogans. Police then took these protestors into custody.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed ‘Padmaavat’ came in a row of protest owing to its name which was ‘Padmavati’ earlier and then it’s history. After facing protest across the state, Bhansali decided to postpone the release date which was scheduled for December 1, 2017.
Now the film is slated to release on January 25, 2018.
