Days after the sudden demise of Sidharth Shukla, his family on Monday, September 6, issued their first statement and expressed a heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been a part of the late actor’s journey.

Shukla, who was rushed to the hospital in Mumbai on September 2 after he complained of complications a night before, was declared brought dead by the hospital authorities. He was 40.

While his fans across the nation and colleagues from the industry are still recovering from the shocking news, his family has thanked the well-wishers who were part of Shukla's journey and for showering the actor with their unconditional love. They also requested privacy to mourn the actor's death.

“It definitely doesn’t end here as he now resides in our hearts forever! Sidharth valued his privacy, hence we request you to allow our family the privacy to grieve,” the statement read.


The actor’s mother, Rita Shukla and two sisters had arranged for a prayer meeting for the late actor today. 

Meanwhile, Sidharth's family also held an online prayer meeting on the same day so that fans can come together for one last time to bid goodbye to their favourite star. The special meditation and prayer session was at 5 pm on Monday, September 6.

The final goodbye prayer was conducted by Sister Shivani and Brahma Kumaris.
