Goregaon – A large number of people had gathered at SRPF post office here to change their old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes on Thursday morning. Post offices were supposed to distribute these new notes to savings account holders. But nothing of that sort happened and customers had to go back home empty handed. Post office employees did not accept Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes from customers who had come to deposit the money in their RD and Sukanya scheme accounts.
