A 16-year-old boy has allegedly spent Rs 10 lakh from his mother’s account through an online transaction to play PUBG. It is learned that the boy fled from his house in the Jogeshwari area after having been supposedly beaten by his parents.

The boy’s father had lodged a complaint with the MIDC police station that his son was missing. After that, the police have traced the boy who fled to the Mahakali area in Andheri on Thursday afternoon and sent him to his parents.

On Wednesday evening, the boy’s father had lodged a complaint with the MIDC police station that his son was missing. After that, the police filed a kidnapping case and began searching for him. During the investigation, the boy’s father told the police that his son had been addicted to PUBG for the last few months. He added that he spent Rs 10 lakh from his mother’s bank account while playing the game. When the parents found out about the online transaction, they scolded him, following which the child wrote a letter and fled the house.

Similarly, in October last year, a 14-year-old boy committed suicide in Tamil Nadu. The boy took this drastic step after his parents stopped him from playing PUBG. Last year, in September in West Bengal a similar incident transpired. A 21-year-old student committed suicide after failing to play PUBG.
