Mumbai: 3 Injured In Fire Due To Cylinder Gas Leakage In Andheri

According to reports, the fire broke out due to cylinder gas leakage in Andheri (East) area of Mumbai at about 10 pm on Wednesday, January 26. The incident took place at Jain society in Sakinaka area.

Yet another fire incident was reported last night in Mumbai’s Andheri area injuring three persons.

According to reports, the fire broke out due to cylinder gas leakage in Andheri (East) area of Mumbai at about 10 pm on Wednesday, January 26. The incident took place at Jain society in Sakinaka area.

However, the fire flames were witnessed in a flat around 8 pm. Fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and doused it within half an hour, an official release stated.

Salim Ansari (38), who suffered 85 per cent burns, was transferred to the government-run Sion hospital and was undergoing treatment. Two others, who suffered minor injuries, were being treated at a local hospital. However, the Brihanmumbi Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials stated that the condition of one of them is critical.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, a five-storey building located in Mumbai's Bandra area collapsed, where at least nine people were injured in the incident and were rushed to Bhabha Hospital for further treatment. One of the residents, identified as Fakare Alam Mohd Ismail Shah is in critical condition. Moreover, at least five persons are feared trapped.

Besides, seven people were killed and several were injured in a major fire incident that broke out in a 20-storey building in south Mumbai on January 22.
