To take immediate action against cyber crimes, the decision to implement a INR 837 crore cyber security project in the state was taken in the cabinet meeting held. The meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Owing to this project, citizens will now be able to register complaints through a phone at a call center that is open 24 hours a week.


With the help of advanced cyber technology, the complaint will be investigated so that the root of the crime can be reached, the crime can be exposed and the punishment can be increased after proving the crime. Cyber crime has emerged as the biggest organised crime in the world and there is a need to tackle this problem using cutting edge technology.


The use of the latest technology is proving dangerous as citizens are facing various types of cyber frauds. There has been an increase in the number of criminals using cyber technology to commit crimes in a virtual manner.

Project Highlights: Bringing various latest equipment and technologies under one roof. This will include Command and Control Center, Technology Assisted Investigation, Center of Excellence, Certificate Maharashtra, Cloud Based Data Center, Security Operation Center.
