On Wednesday, Bombay High Court’s vacation bench granted bail to Kamala Mills owners Ramesh Gowani and Ravi Bhandari in the connection to Kamala Mills fire case. The incident took place on December 29, 2017, where 14 people lost their lives owing to the suffocation.

Justice V L Achliya pronounced the order at 8:20 pm and granted the bail for a surety of ₹50,000 each and allowed provisional cash bail of ₹2 lakh for two weeks.

Both Gowani and Bhandari were ordered to surrender their passport, not to travel abroad without trial court’s permission and were asked to report N M Joshi marg police station once a month.

Who is Ramesh Gowani and Ravi Bhandari?

Ramesh Gowani is a builder and owner of the Kamala mill land while Ravi Bhandari and Gowani both are directors in Kamala Mills Ltd.
