ITF Urges PM Modi to Intervene amid Jet Airways Crisis

Amidst the Jet Airways crisis, around 20,000 people have lost their jobs and many have been deprived of their salaries. This has resulted in the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) stepping in and writing a letter to urge Prime Minister Narendra Modi to solve the crisis.

The letter stated that PM Modi should step in to facilitate the payment of their due salaries, provident funds (PF) and try to get them jobs. As the employees, pilots and technicians haven't received their salaries since January 2019 things have been really tough for them  

Bhartiya Kamgar Sena (BKS) President Suryakant Mahadik and Jet Airways employees met Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray at his residence, Matoshree in Bandra on Tuesday, May 28. They discussed the issues and Thackeray assured them that their problems will be taken into consideration after the new government takes the oath.
