After a major land cave-in of a construction site in Antop Hill affecting the premises of Lloyds Estate, its residents have moved to Bombay High Court and have filed a petition against Dosti Realty builders.

Earlier on June 27, the residents protested outside BMC’s office in Wadala demanding the arrest of Dosti builders’ Deepak Garodia, Kisan Deepak Garodia, and Rajesh Shah.

The petition was filed on Friday in Bombay HC and the residents are demanding compensation for the loss of their building urging to stop the construction work. If the construction work is continued, their building could face similar damage in the future, according to the residents.

While protesting, on June 27, against the BMC and pressing demand to arrest the builders, the residents said that the approvals given to Dosti Realty builders, for construction work, should be cancelled with immediate effects. Until the surrounding buildings are safe, the construction work should not start, the residents demanded. After this, the BMC has put a stay order on the same.

In the incident on June 25, the whole construction site along with the security wall of Lloyds Estate was caved-in. No casualties were reported but there are claims that some construction workers might be dead under the debris.
