Dongri Building Collapse: Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Offers ₹5 Lakhs To The Kin Of The Deceased and ₹50,000 To The Injured

Amidst the Kesarbai building collapse in Dongri where the death toll has now reached 14 leaving 9 injured in J.J. Hospital, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis announced ₹5 lakhs for the kin of the deceased and ₹50,000 for the injured. Maharashtra CM announced this on his official Twitter handle:

The name of the deceased are as follows: 

Saifa Nisar Shaikh (25), Abdul Sattar Kalu Shaikh (55), Mujil Mansur Salmani (15), Saira Rehan Shaikh (25), Javed Ismail (34), Arhaan Shehzad (40), Kashyap Amirajan (13) , Sanaa Salmani (25), Zuber Mansoor Salmani (20), Ibrahim (1), Arbaaz (7), Shehzad (8), Yamin Mansuri (54).

Notably, 1 NDRF officer also sustained to his injuries during the operations.

The name of the injured are as follows: 

Firoz Nazir Salmani (45), Ayesha Shaikh (3), Salma Abdul Sattar Sheikh (55), Abdul Rahman (3), Naved Salmani (35), Imran Hussain Kalwania (30), Javid (30), Zeenat (25), Alma Mohammad Rashid (28).

MHADA claimed that the building was unauthorised and the rescue operation by the NDRF, police and Fire department is still underway. It has even come to light that many buildings in that locality are constructed illegally and BMC Commissioner Praveen Pardeshi stated that they will probe this matter further.
