MNS activists took to vandalism to drive away the hawkers in Thane on Saturday, October 21. They drove away over two dozen illegal hawkers from a railway bridge.

MNS chief Raj Thackeray had protested after the Elphinstone bridge stampede which claimed 23 lives, He had given a 15-day period for the officials to remove all the hawkers around railway stations.
After the 15-day period ended, MNS activists took matters into their own hands and began vandalising hawkers in Thane.
Recently, six MNS BMC corporators quit the party and joined Shiv Sena which left Raj Thackeray red-faced.
