Due to heavy rainfall, there was a road collapse in Chandivali's Sangharsh Nagar. Several shops had been washed away when the incident took place at 10:15 pm on Monday. The residents have been asked to vacate the nearby buildings as they are prone to collapse. No casualties have been reported so far. The residents have blamed the construction of new buildings for the mishap. More information about the same is awaited.

Amidst the heavy rainfall, walls have also collapsed in Malad and Kalyan which have claimed lives of 18 people. It is expected that some more people would still be under the debris. As per reports, the ones who have been injured are being treated at hospitals in Jogeshwari and Kandivali.
Keeping the same in mind, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has announced a compensation of ₹5 Lakhs to the family who lost their loved ones in the incident reported in Malad.
