The state government has decided to provide houses to the slum dwellers residing from 2000 to 2011 under the SRA scheme. However, for this the slum dwellers will have to pay a fee. The government has approved the policy of paid redevelopment.
People living in slums built from 2000 to 2011 in Mumbai will have to pay a redevelopment fee of INR 2.5 lakh. The government has taken this decision for the people living in slums from 01.01.2000 to 01.01.2011 during the Slum Rehabilitation Scheme.
The government released the policy on rehabilitation on May 16, 2018. However, the amount of fee for this was yet to be decided. However, now the government has fixed this amount.
