Preparations for Census 2027 are underway in Navi Mumbai. The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has urged citizens to actively participate in the nationwide process.

Census 2027 will mark India’s first fully digital census, aimed at ensuring greater accuracy, transparency, and reliability of data. A major feature of the exercise is the self-enumeration facility, which allows citizens to submit their information online.

Citizens can fill in their details between May 1 and May 15, 2026, by visiting the official website: https://se.census.gov.in. The process can be completed using a mobile phone or computer from home, office, or any convenient location. However, only one member per household can register and complete the self-enumeration process.

Authorities have emphasised that the process is simple, fast, and secure, and have urged maximum participation.
