Parents in city protest against fee hike, write letter to CM demanding refund

Parents were present in huge attendance at Azad Maidan protesting against the school administration flouting norms pertaining to fee hike. The sweltering heat couldn't dampen the voice of the parents. The protest was led under the aegis of Forum For Fairness Education. Parents protested for the second time in Azad Maidan. Around 3,800 parents were present at the moment.

 They wrote a letter to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis which states that -

Refund of all fees collected in excess

Roll back of fee by all those schools who didn't follow provisions of Fee Regulation Act, 2011.

The letter reads: " This is to bring to your notice that no action has been taken in the said matter even after informing all the concerned authorities. the schools continue to exploit parents by collecting the exorbitant amount of fees... there is a huge unrest among parents as there is no one to listen to their grievances."

Parents also demanded that government must decide the fee structure of all private schools in line with Shikshan Shukla Samiti.

Present to support the parents were the members of political parties which include Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant, Sanjay Nirupam, President Mumbai Regional Congress Committee and other dignitaries.
