Eight People Injured as a House Collapses In Dharavi

Eight people, including a five-year-old girl, were injured on Thursday afternoon due to the collapse of a house in Dharavi. The eight family members who were injured in the accident at 1:30 pm on Thursday lived in a 2-storey house which was being constructed illegally. The rescue operation by the fire brigade was completed by evening and the injured were admitted to the hospital. According to doctors, they are now in a stable condition.

As the construction was illegal, the Disaster Management Cell and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will take actions accordingly. 

The injured people include Mohammad Rafiq (22), Jahan Aara Khan (40), Mohammed Rizwan Shaikh (15), Mohammad Rahjit (22), Pappu Yadav (22), Naval Rai (24), Rashmi Khan (5) and Rukaiya Banu (17).
