Mumbai: 'Patient Help Desk' launched in major hospitals and suburban hospitals

The help desk has been named 'Rogi Mitra' and a help desk cabin will be set up near the main entrance or registration room of the hospitals

Mumbai Suburban District Guardian Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha had indicated that there should be a help desk in major hospitals of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and suburban hospitals to help citizens. Accordingly, an announcement was made today by the BMC  to start a help desk. The help desk has been named 'Rogi Mitra' and a help desk cabin will be set up near the main entrance or registration room of the hospitals.

Appointments will be made for 3:00 in the morning, 2:00 in the afternoon and 1:00 at night in major hospitals and 2:00 in the morning and 2:00 in the afternoon for suburban hospitals. Only those staff who are courteous, who have good communication skills and who have acquired soft skills appropriately will be deputed to provide timely assistance to the patients and their families. These employees will have mastery in three languages Marathi, Hindi, English and will also have complete knowledge of computer operation.


Computer, telephone, registration book and notice box will also be arranged above this help desk.
