Thanekars! Brace for irregular water supply for a few days

Due to continuous heavy rainfall over the past three days in the Bhatsa dam area, a large amount of silt, debris, and tree branches has accumulated in the river near the Pise pumping station, which supplies water to Thane city.

As a result, flood-like conditions have developed, and water has entered the pumping station, affecting its pumping capacity. This, along with the muddy water, is also impacting the water purification process.

Because of these issues, the water supply to Thane city has been reduced by around 25%, and residents can expect low-pressure and irregular water supply for the next few days. The cleaning of silt from the pump strainers is currently underway.
