Borivali: Marathi actor Arun Nalawde inaugurated the weekly vegetable market in Borivali west. With the initiative of Deepa Patil, this market has been started. With the help of this weekly market, residents of Borivali can get fresh and cheap vegetables. This market is organised by Deepa Lakshmi Mahila Sanstha.
Shiv Sena has started this market. Initially residents of Aquaria Garden Tower had opposed this market and it is said that BJP has backed them for opposing the market. Around 5 tons of fresh vegetables and fruits are being sold here every Wednesday.
