Cricketing legend, Shane Warne, passes away owing to a suspected heart attack on Friday, March 4 claim reports. He was 54.

Reports have also claimed that he died in Thailand.

Warne's management has reportedly confirmed to the same in the Australian media by elaborating on how Warne was found unresponsive in his villa and in spite of the efforts of the medical staff, he could not be revived.

In an unfortunate incident for Australian cricket, this is the second such news in 24 hours with fellow great, Rod Marsh, also dying due to a major heart attack. Taking it to Twitter, Shane Warne had expressed condolences over his demise.

Even after his retirement, Warne remained a popular figure, forging a successful broadcasting career as commentator and expert. He also famously guided Rajasthan Royals to a fairy-tale title win in the inaugural season of Indian Premier League in 2008 as their captain and coach.

For those unversed, Warne is widely regarded as one of the greatest bowlers to have played the game, having retired as Test cricket’s second most prolific wicket-taker.
