Amidst repeated demands to boycott India vs Pakistan match in World Cup 2019, the clamour for the tickets for the encounter in Manchester on June 16 has already reached its peak. Till now, there have been more than 4,00,000 lakh applications for the 25,000-seater Old Trafford stadium.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) tournament director Steve Elworthy said at a promotional event in London that the demand for the tickets for India-Pakistan league match has received more attention than Australia vs England game or even the World Cup 2019 finals.

On the other hand, fans along with cricketers have demanded to boycott the match against Pakistan after the Pulwama terrorist attacks on February 14. A Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) official even stated that if the Indian government wants them to boycott the match, they will abide by it.

While there have been talks of boycotting the match, it is obvious that if India won't play then Pakistan will get the points for the match and if it is the final match then without playing the fixture, Pakistan will win the cup.
