Virat Kohli is a master of One Day International (ODI) cricket and has put several master cricketers behind with his talent to score runs and break records regularly. On Wednesday, in the second ODI against West Indies, the Indian captain registered his 37th ODI hundred and along with that, he became the fastest player to score 10,000 runs in ODI cricket.

Batting at Vizag, the run-machine reached the milestone when he reached 81 in his innings and took 205 innings to reach the feat as compared to Sachin Tendulkar’s 259 innings. Meanwhile, Kohli’s exceptional run-stint has made him the 4th Indian and 13th overall batsman to reach the milestone.

Meanwhile, he also holds the record for the fastest batsman to 8,000 and 9,000 ODI runs. Adding to his book of records, he also became the fastest Indian to complete 4,000 runs on home soil.

Further, in the match, Kohli scored 157 runs to push India towards a total of 321 runs which was studded with 14 fours and four sixes.
