The richest T20 league in the world, Indian Premier League (IPL) will be witnessing the beginning of a new season in 2020 but the buzz around the cash-rich tournament has already begun. The players' auction for the upcoming season of the T20 league will be held on December 19 in Kolkata. The decision comes after the event's Governing Council decided about the same in a meeting on Tuesday, November 5.

Usually, the glamourous league takes place in April-May every year and prior to its inception, a players' auction is held during November-December.
