In a series of modifications to revamp Mumbai Cricket, former cricketers Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Karsan Ghavri and Sahil Kukreja joined Cricket Improvement Committee (CIC) on Tuesday. Sandhu and Ghavri have previously coached Mumbai or have been selectors whereas Kukreja will be affiliating with Mumbai Cricket for the first time.

According to sources, the Committee of Administrators (CoA) at MCA are adamant on Ajit Wadekar being the chairman of CIC, but the 77-year-old has declined the offer because of health-related issues. In absence of Wadekar, it is being discussed that Ghavri will be declared as the chairman of the panel.

Currently, only Amol Muzumdar is the member on the CIC panel, after Pravin Amre and Ajit Agarkar quit due to conflict of interest.
