This was a special knock because I want to make a comeback in the Ranji Trophy (team) and needed a big one. In the last match, I was going good but fell for 80. This match was on the home ground, so it was important that I score big to make a comeback," said Armaan.
Last year, Armaan was playing a U-23 match at Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) and the injury happened during warm-up session prior to the day of the match. After which, the batsman avoided surgery and was sent to rehab to the National Cricket Academy.

Cricket runs in blood for Armaan as Wasim Jaffer, the former Indian cricketer is the 20-year-old’s uncle. Armaan was also part of the U-19 team at the 2016 World Cup along with being part of Kings XI Punjab squad.
On Friday, the 20-year-old Mumbai batsman Armaan Jaffer made a comeback after a year owing to his injury. However, in what can be called a prodigious comeback, the Mumbai right-handed batsman slammed an unbeaten triple century against Saurashtra in the ongoing U-23 Col C K Nayudu Trophy.
Armaan, who has played three first-class matches, scored the 300 off 367 deliveries, consisting of 26 boundaries and 10 sixes. Prior to this, Saurashtra were bundled out for 175 in their first innings. However, after the mammoth innings from Armaan, Mumbai decided to declare their first innings at 610/5. Responding to which, Saurashtra were bowled out at 205 by Mumbai U-23 bowlers.
