New Zealand pacer Adam Milne, has been named as the replacement for Pat Cummins, who was ruled out because of a back injury, in the Mumbai Indians squad, the franchise confirmed on Sunday, April 15.

Milne, who went unsold (base price ₹75 lakh) in the recent IPL auctions, played for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the last two seasons. He has played five IPL matches so far and has four wickets at an economy of 9.8.

Mumbai Indians have started the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League on a low with three successive defeats and are placed rock bottom of the table.

Mumbai next play RCB and it remains to be seen if Milne is selected in the starting XI for the defending champions.
