Dombivli gang rape case: 28 held so far for sexually assaulting 15-year-old girl

On Wednesday night, September 22, the victim approached the police after which a gang rape case was registered. All accused are booked under Indian Penal Code Section 376 (rape), 376 (N), 376 (3), 376 (D) (A) and Section 4,6 and 10 of POCSO Act.

According to the latest report, two more accused have been arrested on Friday, September 24, by the Special Team of Investigation (SIT) probing the Dombivli gang rape of a minor girl case. With this, the total arrest in the case has risen to 28. Moreover, it has come to light that at least 33 people have been booked so far.

On Thursday, September 23, police had arrested a total of 26 accused in the case, including two minors.

Earlier, the police had claimed that so far they had booked 29 accused in the case but the numbers of accused can be increased. Of which, a total of 21 accused have been arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl in Dombivli, a Thane police had said. Meanwhile, the two detained accused are minors. Police are on the lookout for the remaining accused.

The police said the main accused in the case is Vijay Fuke, who is a friend of the survivor. Fuke raped her in January this year and made a video, which was used to blackmail her into having sex with his friends.
